Debra-Jane Nelson is an award-winning Creative and Social Impact Entrepreneur, Educator, and the founder of Think Mahogany Events, one of Ghana's leading events production companies. Passionate about perfection, she drives her company to exceed customer expectations through unique, high-quality, and impactful event design, coordination, and planning. Known for flawless execution, Debra-Jane has successfully delivered over 1,000 events, ranging from public outreach initiatives, large-scale political rallies and gatherings, community engagement activities, corporate conferences to weddings, funerals and charity fundraisers, both in Ghana and internationally.
As a trend-setter and results-driven leader, she has trained over 600 professionals through her Events Masterclass Ghana and Ghana Events Industry Academy. Think Mahogany celebrated 14 years in business in March 2024. With a culture of innovation, transparency, and integrity, Debra-Jane is dedicated to transforming individuals and empowering communities.
In addition to her business, Debra-Jane founded Zero Hunger Ghana in 2018, a non-profit focused on reducing hunger by providing vulnerable communities with nutritious food through sustainable, self-dependent projects. She is also the co-curator of Jollof Rave, an annual open-air event celebrating Ghana's famous Jollof rice, where she gives free meals to the vulnerable under her Zero Hunger initiative.
A passionate educator, Debra-Jane hosts Impact Your World with Debra-Jane, a weekly Instagram live show, and has interviewed influential figures in politics, business, and entertainment. With over 180 episodes aired, her platform focuses on imparting knowledge and impacting lives.
