Janet is a highly accomplished business leader and marketing strategist with expertise in business development in several African countries. She currently works as an independent marketing, communications, networking and PR consultant and is the CEO of JANE’M Salon & Spa, an award-winning Spa & Wellness Center in Ghana.

In addition to her role at JANE’M, Janet is also the CEO and co-founder of AFRIBIZ Group Limited, which encompasses various companies providing Marketing, Communications, Media, Networking and PR Consultancy, Agri-Business, Beauty/Wellness, and IT/Cyber Security solutions in Ghana and Africa.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Janet held senior leadership and c-suite positions at Nestlé and GB Foods. In April 2008, she became the first female Business Executive Manager and one of the pioneering management team members of Nestlé Equatorial African Region in charge of 21 African Countries. After this role, Janet worked at GB Food as the Marketing Director for Africa & Middle East. Her corporate career spans over 22 years, during which she worked in countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Algeria, Angola, Mauritius, Senegal, Congo, Switzerland, and Spain.

Janet specializes in developing and implementing strategic marketing solutions based on in-depth consumer understanding and insights. She excels in driving innovation, brand building and business development.

Beyond her professional career, Janet is passionate about mentoring, coaching and women’s empowerment. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Executive Committee and Board Member of EWN (Executive Women Network), a not-for-profit organization comprising over 200 impactful C-suite corporate women leaders, women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses in Ghana. She is also a member of TheBoardroom Africa.

Janet is a public speaker and media personality. Since July 2021, she has been the lead judge for Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB), an iconic beauty pageant held annually across the 16 regions in Ghana. She was also the TV host of “Today’s Woman,” using these media platforms and other direct touch points to mentor, inspire and motivate others.

She holds an MBA from the University of Ghana Business School and a BA – First Class Honours Degree in English & Russian from the University of Ghana. Janet has also received leadership training from the London Business School and has completed career trainings in Switzerland and Spain.

In her free time, Janet enjoys spending quality time with her family, tending to her garden, cooking, watching movies, and hosting her friends.
