Kojo Soboh is the quietly formidable force behind some of Africa’s most compelling celebrations of excellence. As the founder and executive director of Carbon AV and EMY Africa, Kojo Soboh has shaped a career defined by vision, precision, and the elevation of African achievement.

Beginning his journey in the world of entertainment as a performing artist, Kojo transitioned from the spotlight to the strategy room, where his talent for curation and event design quickly became evident. At Imajin Advertising, he led the execution of high-impact events such as the Legends and Legacy Ball, Stand Up GH, and Ghana Stands in Worship. These programmes seamlessly fused Ghanaian culture with international flair.

After pursuing an MBA in Project Management from GIMPA to diversify his expertise and become a private consultant, Kojo established Carbon AV Ltd., an event production and marketing consultancy. The company has since become the trusted name behind events for global institutions and premium brands, including the European Union, USAID, Alliance Motors, Prudential Insurance Ghana, and Miss Universe Ghana.

In 2016, Kojo founded the EMY Africa Awards, which has since evolved into a multi-platform ecosystem that celebrates African excellence. EMY Africa now includes a quarterly print magazine, the EMY Africa Expo, the Africa Rising Symposium, and the Generation Now youth development initiative, among others. Through these platforms, EMY Africa connects leaders, creatives, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and the diaspora to champion a progressive African narrative.

Kojo Soboh has been featured by Forbes Africa and named among Avance Media’s Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana and 100 Most Influential Young Africans. His work continues to span the continent and beyond, with travel activations in London, Lagos, and New York, positioning EMY Africa as a continental benchmark in cultural and corporate celebration.
